Frequently Asked Questions about our Riding Holidays

Can I come on holiday alone?

We welcome single riders, you will have the opportunity to meet others as our groups range in size from 2-6 riders.

What can I do in the evening?

Once the horses are bedded for the evening you will have the opportunity to wash and change before pre -dinner drinks. You can then enjoy a dinner made using the finest locally produced ingredients. Dinner is usually around 8:30pm, with the other riders, in the decorative stately dining room, followed by a night cap by the log fire in the library.

What level of riding experience do I need?

This experience is for the competent, capable rider, fit enough to cope with all paces for 6-7 hours riding over varied terrain.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

We cater for guests with all dietary requirements. Please inform us of your dietary or medical requirements before your arrival.

Do I need to bring riding equipment?

We provide half chaps and hats are available, we also use English tack.
